Berwick Area United Way Agencies Benefit from Expertise of Bloomsburg Public Relations Students

In the Spring of 2015, Dr. Kristie Byrum of the Mass Communications Department applied for a curriculum enhancement grant to provide students with a rich out-of-the-classroom, applied learning experience. In cooperation with the Berwick Area United Way and the Berwick United Way Foundation, ten non-profit organizations received strategic public relations planned prepared by ten public relations students enrolled in the Mass Communications Department. The agencies visited Monty's for a strategic planning session and then returned to campus to visit the new Greenly Center for the client presentation.
